The current Comprehensive Plan was approved by the Stow Planning Commission on 9/12/17 and adopted by City Council on 1/11/18 after a planning process which consisted of open houses, task force strategy sessions, and numerous public meetings with the Planning Commission and City Council.

A Comprehensive Plan is a guideline for the long range development of the City which establishes community goals and policies for land use and development within the City of Stow, and assists the Administration, Planning Commission and City Council when making decisions regarding zoning, development, capital improvements or other service issues.  A Comprehensive Plan includes broad land use policies, specific land use recommendations, and implementation or “action” recommendations.
