City of Stow Holds Photo Contest for Residents to Capture Community Charm
At the beginning of this year, the City of Stow announced a photo contest for residents called “How Do You Picture Stow?” to solicit photography that is reflective of the Stow community.
After the contest’s end date on Feb. 28, the City of Stow decided to print 69 of the 80 total submissions and display the photos on the walls of City Hall.
Winners were invited to attend the City Council meeting on May 23 to celebrate their photography being showcased at City Hall.
“This photo contest really shed light on our wonderful community here in Stow, especially the residents who have an artistic eye and see the world through a creative lens,” said Mayor John Pribonic. “The photos are a powerful representation of all aspects of our city, including everything from birds and wildlife to our safety personnel and sports teams.”
Since the photo contest was such a success, the City of Stow has decided to organize phase two of the contest and welcomes additional submissions to the current collection. Residents can submit their photography to firstname.lastname@example.org until the deadline of Sept. 9.
