Volunteers Needed for Project

Home/Uncategorized/Volunteers Needed for Project

The City of Stow was awarded a Grant from the Ohio EPA for a stream restoration project on a Mud Brook Tributary. The scope of work includes stream bed and flood plain improvement in the 10.2 Acre undeveloped parcel adjacent to The Meadows Subdivision Phases One and Two and the Silver Lake Country Club. The project utilizes low impact green infrastructure methods to meet the EPA standards for water quality.

The City of Stow would like to invite all interested volunteers to a public workshop and walk-through to be held Saturday March 25th from 9am to 12pm.  The workshop/walk through will start at the cul-de-sac of Devonshire Court and proceed through the site. The volunteers at the workshop will be planting live stakes for trees so appropriate footwear (boots) is required.  Also please wear clothing appropriate for the weather, bring water and if driving, please park so that you are not blocking anyone’s driveway or mailbox. Time will be allotted for a question and answer session.  If you plan on attending please RSVP to the City Engineers office at 330-689-2719 or email us at mjones@stow.oh.us.
